Exclusive: VMI Gives Dread Central 1st Look at the Artwork & Trailer for Supernatural Shocker THE UNHEALER

VMI Worldwide has acquired global rights to Martin Guigui’s supernatural thriller The Unhealer. Today, Dread Central is thrilled to exclusively debut the film’s trailer and artwork. Check them out and read more about The Unhealer below.
The Unhealer is led by a trio of veteran film and television stars; Natasha Henstridge (Species, The Whole Nine Yards), Lance Henriksen (The Terminator, Aliens) and Adam Beach (Suicide Squad, Flags of Our Fathers). The players depicting high schoolers, who just might not make it to their senior year, are Elijah Nelson (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Thundermans), Kayla Carlson (CSI: NY, Secrets of the Mountain), David Gridley (The Last Ship, Guidance), Angeline Appel (The Ranch, The Fosters), Will Ropp (Speechless, The Dejects), Gavin Casalegno (The Vampire Diaries), and Mike Gray (Barry, Snowfall).
Synopsis:
The story of The Unhealer follows Kelly (Elijah Nelson) a teen boy with an unusual eating disorder who is constantly bullied in school. His mother (Natasha Henstridge) enlists the help of a faith healer (Lance Henriksen) to heal her son but the ritual goes horribly wrong. Kelly is not only healed but obtains supernatural powers that allow for whatever pain that is inflicted on him to be felt by his aggressors. Kelly uses his new power to seek vengeance on the classmates that bullied him.
Award-winning film director Martin Guigui is at the helm of The Unhealer. He most recently directed and co-wrote the action-drama 9/11 starring Charlie Sheen, Whoopi Goldberg, Gina Gershon, and Luis Guzman depicting individuals trapped in an elevator in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. Guigui wrote his first feature film, My X-Girlfriend’s Wedding Reception (1999) which won critical acclaim on the festival circuit and launched his career as a writer/director.
The film is produced by Cristi Harris, J. Shawn Harris, Tony Hannagan, Galen Walker, and Natasha Henstridge.

The Unhealer is penned by Kevin E. Moore and J. Shawn Harris. VMI will introduce the picture to buyers in Cannes.
