Franchise Producer Shares First Look at ALIEN V Treatment

As we told you guys last week, Alien franchise producer Walter Hill is working on a treatment for Alien 5 with writer/producer David Giler with hopes to get Sigourney Weaver to return as Ellen Ripley.

And today he shared a look at the treatment, titled Alien V.

As you can see, it says “In space, no one can hear you scream” on the cover. Makes sense. This was the original film’s tagline. But then it says, “In space, no one can hear you dream.” Which is interesting…

It then quotes Edgar Allan Poe with “All that we see or seem. Is but a dream within a dream,” and William Tecumseh Sherman’s “War is Hell.”

Hill tells SYFY WIRE: “Sigourney, as she has from the very beginning, is being too modest about her proven ability to pull off the idea — which is to tell a story that scares the pants off your date, kicks the ass of a new Xenomorph, and conducts a meditation on both the universe of the Alien franchise and the destiny of the character of Lt. Ellen Ripley.”
