Oh, No… HALLOWEEN KILLS Might Not Be Released This October

Blumhouse’s head honcho Jason Blum just let slip that David Gordon Green’s upcoming Halloween Kills might not be released this October.

Blum tells ET: “I don’t know how it’s coming out but I’m hoping and still pushing for it to come out still in October.”

We’ll keep you updated. Stay tuned.

Blumhouse’s Halloween Kills stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, Judy Greer as Karen Nelson, Andi Matichak as Allyson Nelson Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy Doyle, Kyle Richards as Lindsey Wallace, Charles Cyphers as Leigh Brackett, Nancy Stephens as Marion Chambers, Robert Longstreet as Lonnie Elam, and James Jude Courtney as Michael Myers

No plot in known at the time.

That said, Halloween (2018) began 40 years after Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from Michael Myers on Halloween. Locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns to Haddonfield, Ill. — but this time, she’s ready for him.

Rated R for horror violence and bloody images, language, brief drug use and nudity, it sports a 79% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads: Halloween largely wipes the slate clean after decades of disappointing sequels, ignoring increasingly elaborate mythology in favor of basic – yet still effective – ingredients.

Halloween Ends coming on October 15th, 2021.

  1. If it ends up being delayed, i’ll be extremely bummed

But that is not at all what this says. What this says to me is that he is unsure what form of release this will end up being (theater, VOD, both, etc..) but that regardless of what form that takes, he is pushing for it to happen in October

But Dread Central, nowadays is all about that misleading clickbait tagline

    • Fear not I wasn’t kidding about giving you a Click Bait button. Working on a way for folks like yourself to give feedback on the types of posts they feel are clickbait.

  2. This is bs yall shouldn’t let this virus get in the waay of releasing this movieee I’m dyinn to see it & I’m pretty sure aloot of other ppl r as well… I understand the virus is deadly buut if noone that is in this moviee has it or can catch it y’all should continue to finish it and release it just keep the people that aren’t in it away lol

  3. His comment kinda feels more like he’s stating he’s not sure if it’ll be cinema or VOD than a threat to October being the release date, because he sounds pretty confident he can keep it to that time frame.
