TIGER KING’S Joe Exotic Claims: “I’ll Be Dead in 2-3 Months”

As if things couldn’t get any worse, TMZ reports Netflix’s Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness star Joe Exotic claims he will be dead in 2-3 months.

He writes: “My soul is dead, I struggle every day to hold on to what little hope I can find. They keep me locked down 24/7 with no phone, email, or commissary and you will never understand the mental abuse this does to a person. I don’t even know if I’m married anymore. Seems everyone is so busy making money and being famous I don’t even get a letter from Dillon. Everyone sends pictures of him having fun and all but as a person screaming for help, I am asking you to stop. Please stop.

He continues: “I was born with CVID (not COVID-19) and [hypogammaglobulinemia] and required blood infusions every 4 weeks. I have not had one since the end of January. I’m losing weight, sores won’t heal, I’ll be dead in 2-3 months. It’s like I have been sent to death row. They stopped all of my medication except one.”

Here’s hoping he’s, you know, overreacting a bit.

For the one person out there that might not know, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness is a true-crime documentary about the life of zookeeper Joe Exotic. The series focuses on the small but deeply interconnected society of big cat conservationists such as Carole Baskin, owner of Big Cat Rescue, and collectors such as Exotic, whom Baskin accuses of abusing and exploiting wild animals.

It was released on March 20 and was watched by 34.3 million people over its first ten days, ranking as one of Netflix’s most successful releases. A special with Joel McHale interviewing several of the stars was released on April 12, 2020.
