Edgar Wright’s LAST NIGHT IN SOHO with Anya Taylor-Joy Pushed to 2021

Post-production on Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz writer-director Edgar Wright’s new horror movie Last Night in Soho with Anya Taylor-Joy has been – go figure – affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The film will no longer make its original September 25th release date and will instead be unleashed sometime in 2021.

We’ll keep you posted.

The film is said to be inspired by other British horror films like Nicolas Roeg’s Don’t Look Now, and Roman Polanski’s Repulsion. On top of all that, Anya Taylor-Joy has teased the film is claustrophobic, intense, and a really well-directed acid trip.

Co-written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns (1917), the film is said to center on a young girl, passionate about fashion design, who is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s where she encounters her idol, a dazzling wannabe singer. But 1960s London is not what it seems, and time seems to fall apart with shady consequences.

It’s written and directed by Edgar Wright who produces with Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, and Nira Park. Anya Taylor-Joy stars with Matt Smith, Thomasin McKenzie, Diana Rigg, Rita Tushingham, Jessie Mei Li, Michael Ajao, and Terence Stamp.
