Theo James’ SXSW Horror/Sci-Fi ARCHIVE to be Released in July

Archive was originally slated to premiere at SXSW (which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Today brings word that Vertical Entertainment has acquired North American distribution rights with plans to release the horror/sci-fi flick on July 10th. The film is written and directed by Gavin Rothery and stars Theo James, Rhona Mitra, and Toby Jones.

Synopsis:
2038: George Almore is working on a true human-equivalent AI. His latest prototype is almost ready. This sensitive phase is also the riskiest. Especially as he has a goal that must be hidden at all costs: being reunited with his dead wife.

Deadline reports:

“Vertical have long been a supporter of the film from the start and I can’t wait for North American audiences to see Archive,” Rothery said.

We don’t have a trailer yet, but we’ll share it with you all just as soon as it drops!
