RIP Malcolm Dixon: TIME BANDITS Actor Has Passed Away at 66

Today brings word that actor Malclm Dixon has passed away at the age of 66. He born in September 1953, the youngest of seven brothers and the only child with dwarfism. Dixon worked on his parents’ farm until he was discovered by a talent agent at an ice skating rink; his abilities soon attracted the attention of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.

Last most children of the 1980s, my first memory of Dixon is his turn as Strutter in Time Bandits (released in 1981). He also appeared in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Flash Gordon, The Dark Crystal, Return of the Jedi, Willow, and Labyrinth.
