Details Revealed for Second Sight’s DAWN OF THE DEAD Limited Edition Blu-ray

UK distributor Second Sight Films is planning a limited edition Blu-ray 4k UHD release of George A. Romero’s classic Dawn of the Dead on October 26th. And now they have revealed that this release is going to be packed with special features.

DISC 1: The theatrical cut – New 4K restoration of the original camera negative – Commentary by George A. Romero, Tom Savini, Christine Forrest – NEW commentary by Travis Crawford

DISC 2: The extended cut – Produced using 4K scan of theatrical cut camera negative and 4K scan of extended cut interpositive – Commentary by Richard P. Rubinstein

PLUS: 150-page hardback book featuring new essays, archive interview, and rare stills – Dawn of the Dead: the novelization.

The release will weigh in at just over a kilo and will be available in either Blu-ray or UHD format. They hope to know their final production schedule soon but obviously this is difficult at the current time. But once they have that confirmed they will announce pre-orders.
