WATCH: 10-Minute Documentary on Stuart Gordon’s CASTLE FREAK With Barbara Crampton & Jeffrey Combs

As we all know well and good by this point in time, earlier this week we lost Master of Horror and Re-Animator director Stuart Gordon. But today we wanted to make sure to share a documentary on the making of his cult classic Castle Freak with Barbara Crampton and Jeffrey Combs.

Check it out below!

The film stars Combs as John Reilly a recovering alcoholic who inherits an Italian castle when a distant relative passes away. John travels to Italy with his estranged wife Susan (Barbara Crampton) and blind daughter Rebecca (Jessica Dollarhide). The three plan to stay at the castle, but unknown to them is that a freakish monster that has been locked away in the basement of the castle is about to escape and commit a series of murders. The police place John as the prime suspect leading him to confront his alcoholism, the demon and prove himself innocent.

Rated R for some strong violence and gore, a scene of sexuality and some language, Castle Freak was directed by Stuart Gordon from a screenplay he co-wrote along with Dennis Paoli. Maurizio Maggi produced and it starred Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton, Jessica Dollarhide, and Jonathan Fuller. Richard Band provided the score. Full Moon Entertainment unleashed the killer cult classic back in November 1995. It’s available to stream on the free Dread app HERE.
