Hello Princess Production Company Unveils Six Picture Horror Slate

Award-winning independent production company Hello Princess has unveiled a new horror-centric slate of films with filming due to start as early as this summer. The company, helmed by filmmaker Richard John Taylor and named in honour of its late co-founder, Taylor’s best friend and EastEnders icon Leslie Grantham, will produce six films over the next two years as part of an exclusive distribution deal.

Taylor will produce, write and direct ‘The Disappearance of Little Lottie’, ‘The Huntress of Auschwitz’, ‘Man Eater’, ‘The Butcher Baker’, ‘Actors Vs Zombies’, and ‘The Silent Assassin’.

The Huntress of Auschwitz follows a young American woman who travels to Europe to track down the Nazi guard responsible for the murder of her great-grandfather. The film reunites Taylor with Jeffrey Charles Richards who starred in Taylor’s award-winning psychological horror ‘Muse’. Richards will also appear in The Butcher Baker, based upon the murders of American serial killer Robert Hansen.

Jeffrey Charles Richards said “I am excited to again work with Richard again, I really admire his calmness and trust he brings to the set. He has but to plant the seed of a vision in the actors head, then he allows them to grow and run with it. When you are exploring the very darkest of places in the human soul, as The Huntress of Auschwitz will be doing, its nice to know there is a “safe room” atmosphere to escape back to.”

Inspired by Gaston Leroux’s ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, ‘The Disappearance of Little Lottie’ follows an actress who unearths evidence of a brutal murder while filming her latest drama, while ‘Man Eater’ stars Rachel Warren and is inspired by the chilling crimes of real life cannibal Katherine Knight, the first woman in Australia to be sentenced to life imprisonment without parole.

Silent Assassin’, starring Hazell legend Nicholas Ball, follows a retired hitman scarred by a horrific past as he brutally takes on the Romanian mafia. Meta-comedy ‘Actors Vs Zombies’ is set in an idyllic country pub where a group of has-been, faded stars meet to discuss the way things used to be, unaware of an imminent zombie invasion.

Hello Princess is currently collaborating with financiers Altis International on ‘The Krays: New Blood’, due to film this June in addition to horror ‘Baba Yaga’ and gangland epic ‘The Hunt, both due to go into production shortly after. Meanwhile under his real name, Meredith Alfred Lytton, Taylor is penning three books, including a biography of Grantham titled ‘Where I’m Going, You Can’t Follow’, due to be released this Christmas.
