Apple’s eight-episode limited series adaptation of Stephen King’s Lisey’s Story with Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, and Joan Allen is coming soon from J.J. Abrams and Warner Bros. Television.
And today, King took to Twitter to tease that the series is looking good.
The current cast includes Julianne Moore as Lisey Landon, Clive Owen as Scott Landon, Joan Allen as Amanda, Dane DeHaan as Jim Dooley, and Sung Kang as Officer Dan Boeckman.
Written and executive produced by Stephen King, the story centers on a woman who lost her husband two years ago, after a twenty-five-year marriage of profound and sometimes frightening intimacy. He was an award-winning, bestselling novelist and a very complicated man.
Before they married, Lisey knew there was a place Scott went—a place that both terrified and healed him, could eat him alive or give him the ideas he needed in order to live. Now it’s Lisey’s turn to face Scott’s demons, to go to that terrifying place known as Boo’ya Moon.
Pablo Larrain (Jackie) directs the show from a series of scripts by King himself based on his novel of the same name. King, Moore, and Abrams executive produce with Ben Stephenson.
