Teens Discover Neighbor Building Monster In Basement In James Wan’s Universal Monster Movie
Well, it looks like in the aftermath of writer-director Leigh Whannell’s killer reboot of The Invisible Man, his Saw and Insidious director James Wan is looking to join the party as well.
Yes, THR reports Wan will be producing an untitled monster movie for Universal. Robbie Thompson (Supernatural) pens the script, which will take “its cues from Universal’s classic monster legacy and shine it through a modern prism with shades of Disturbia.”

More specifically, the tale will focus on a group of teens who discover that a neighbor is building a monster in his basement. And (spoiler alert?) the monster gets loose. Moo-Haha.
Once again, Wan is not directing the project but will produce via his Atomic Monster banner.
