HOCUS POCUS: THE GAME Coming This August

Ravensburger is the company behind such killer tabletop games as Jaws: The Game and Horrified: Universal Monsters. And at this year’s New York Toy Fair, they showed off a series of games and toys that will hit stores throughout 2020 – including a game based on Hocus Pocus.
Designed by Prospero Hall, Hocus Pocus: The Game follows this rundown via Super Parent: In this cooperative game for 2-6 players, you’ll need to work together to stop the Sanderson sisters from claiming the lives of Salem’s children. The game will include references to the classic film, such as quotes from the movie. It will also include a wooden figure of Binx the cat.

The film centers on teenager Max Dennison who moves to Salem, Mass. and explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani and their new friend, Allison. After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches’ book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.
