Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2U director Christopher Landon’s new Blumhouse body-swapping fright flick with Vince Vaughn and Kathryn Newton is going (for now) by the title Freaky Friday the 13th and will be gory AF, blood-drenched, and gleefully hard R.

Landon wrote the screenplay with Michael Kennedy which follows a young girl in high school (Kathryn Newton) who swaps bodies with a deranged serial killer (Vince Vaughn) and discovers she has less than 24 hours before the change becomes permanent.

Vaughn and Newton’s co-stars include Uriah Shelton, Alan Ruck, Katie Finneran, Celeste O’Connor, and Misha Osherovich. Jason Blum and Adam Hendricks produce with Greg Gilreath and Zac Locke serving as executive producers.
