Bryan Fuller: New SILENCE OF THE LAMBS Series Doesn’t Impact Potential HANNIBAL Season 4

Recently, CBS gave the green light to a Silence of the Lambs sequel series called Clarice, which will, you guessed it, focus on the continuing adventures of Clarice Starling.

Fuller’s Hannibal series followed gifted criminal profiler Will Graham who has a unique way of thinking that allows him to empathize with anyone, including psychopaths. But while helping the FBI pursue a particularly complicated serial killer, he decides he could use some help and enlists the brilliant psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter. The two form a partnership and it seems that there is no villain they can’t catch together, but Lecter harbors a dark secret. His own brilliant mind has gone to the dark side and he has more in common with the criminals they hunt than Will could imagine.

Hannibal was developed for TV by Bryan Fuller based on characters created by Thomas Harris. It starred Hugh Dancy as Will Graham, Caroline Dhavernas as Alana Bloom, Laurence Fishburne as Jack Crawford, Michael Pitt as Mason Verger, Eddie Izzard as Abel Gideon, and Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal “The Cannibal” Lecter. NBC canceled Hannibal in 2015 after three seasons.
