SUPERNATURAL Final Season Will Feature Flashback Episode

The upcoming season of Supernatural kicks off this Thursday. And today we’ve learned the final season will be going back in time for another one of their famous flashback episodes.
Co-showrunner Andrew Dabb tells EW: “It’s like, ‘What are the types of episodes that we enjoy that makes the show good but also speaks to the characters?’ For a long time, pretty much every season we would do a story that would flashback to a young Sam and Dean story. So this year we’re doing one of those, which we haven’t done for a long, long time.”
That’s all we know about the planned flashback episode at this time. But Jared Padalecki said: “I would love to see the month after Mary gets burned on the ceiling. I would love to see the story of how John figured out that his wife and the mother of his two kids was involved in hunting.”
Jensen Ackles added: “I would love to see more of what the boys were doing when they couldn’t necessarily go on a hunt but they really wanted to. Maybe sometimes they’d stow away with dad and he wouldn’t know it and they would get into some trouble.”
