Danzig’s Horror Anthology VEROTIKA Hits DVD Next Month

The Misfits frontman Glenn Danzig’s directorial debut Verotika has been described as “so bad it’s good.” And today we’ve learned that the film is headed our way on DVD next month.

Verotika is a horror anthology that compiles stories from Danzig’s line of comic books of the same name by Verotik. Stories that focus on “horror content that’s often sexual and violent in nature, usually featuring scantily-clad female protagonists.” Segments include “The Albino Spider of Dajette,” “Change of Face,” “Drukija Contessa of Blood,” and “Morella.”

Written and directed by The Misfits frontman Glenn Danzig, Verotika stars Ashley Wisdom as Dajette, Rachel Alig as Mystery Girl, Alice Tate as Drukija, Kayden Kross as Morella, Scotch Hopkins as The Albino Spider, Sean Kanan as Sgt. Anders, and Natalia Borowsky as Sheska.
TRIVIA: The film was primarily filmed in the Skid Row district of Los Angeles to save on production costs and it took Scotch Hopkins 8 hours a day to get into the Albino Spider makeup.
Danzig serves as the film’s executive producer along with Brian Perera. James Cullen Bressack and Jarrett Furst are producers. Verotika will be released on DVD on February 25, 2020.
