Born on this day in 1966: actress Kate Hodge
The name is probably not familiar to you, but her face should spark some memories. Most notably, she starred in short-lived syndicated TV series She-Wolf of London as Randi Wallace, an American college student going to school in London. While spending an evening on the moors, she is attacked and becomes a werewolf. Her professor, Dr. Ian Matheson, helps her through her monthly transitions while the two search for a cure.
The show only aired fourteen episodes before it received a major overhaul. The show was retitled Love & Curses, Randi and Ian moved to Los Angeles as a legitimate couple, and the show took on a lighter tone. It only lasted six episodes in this new iteration before it was cancelled.
Besides She-Wolf of London, Hodge’s first starring role was as Michelle, the Final Girl of Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III. She also appeared in The Hidden II, and episodes of The Following, Tales From the Crypt, and Fringe.
