Stephen King’s JERUSALEM’S LOT Series Snags Adrien Brody
Stephen King’s short story Jerusalem’s Lot is headed to the small screen in the form of a 10-episode straight-to-series Epix show starring Adrien Brody.
Deadline reports Flatliners (1990) and original Salem’s Lot writer Peter Filardi will pen this series along with his brother Jason Filardi (17 Again, Bringing Down the House).
The series is set in the 1850s and follows Captain Charles Boone (Brody), who relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small, seemingly sleepy town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine after his wife dies at sea. However, Charles will soon have to confront the secrets of his family’s sordid history and fight to end the darkness that has plagued the Boones for generations.
Epix President Michael Wright says: “This series is an intense, absolutely terrifying reimagining of classic gothic horror. We can’t wait to work with the exceptional team of Donald De Line and Jason and Peter Filardi, along with our phenomenal lead actor, Adrien Brody…and of course, when it comes to horror, it doesn’t get any better or more masterful than Stephen King.”
The Filardi brothers will serve as showrunners and executive produce with Ready Player One and Wayward Pines producer Donald De Line. Production will begin in May of next year in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a premiere date set for Fall 2020.
