Stephen King’s THE STAND Adds Natalie Martinez
CBS All Access and director Josh Boone’s upcoming 10-episode limited series adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand will be headed our way in 2020. And today we’ve learned via Variety that Natalie Martinez (The I-Land) will guest star.
This new The Stand‘s killer cast includes James Marsden as Stu Redman, Amber Heard as Nadine Cross, Whoopi Goldberg as Mother Abagail, Greg Kinnear as Glen Bateman, Odessa Young as Frannie Goldsmith, and Henry Zaga as Nick Andros.
Jovan Adepo joins them as Larry Underwood, along with Owen Teague as Harold Lauder, Brad William Henke as Tom Cullen, Daniel Sunjata as Cobb, and Nat Wolff as Lloyd Henreid.
Eion Bailey joins as Teddy Weizak, with Katherine McNamara as Julie Lawry, Hamish Linklater as Dr. Ellis, Heather Graham as Rita Blakemoor, and Alexander Skarsgard as Randall Flagg.
Boone and Ben Cavell executive produce with Roy Lee, Jimmy Miller, and Richard P. Rubinstein. Will Weiske and Miri Yoon are co-executive producers and Owen King will produce.
Stephen King’s The Stand begins with a nanosecond of computer error and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And thus begins the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of institutions and emptied of 99% of its people. A world in which a handful of panicky survivors choose sides, or are chosen. A world in which good rides on the frail shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abigail, and the worst nightmares of evil are embodied in a man with a lethal smile and unspeakable powers: Randall Flagg, the dark man.
