Apple Renews Shyamalan’s SERVANT for Season 2

I have been hearing nothing but stellar word-of-mouth regarding M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming Apple series Servant.

And today we’ve learned from Deadline that Apple has already given the series a go-ahead for season 2 – before the first season has even begun airing. Nice.

The show currently holds an 89% approval rating over on Rotten Tomatoes with a Critics Consensus that reads, “Though Servant’s slithering mystery often wanders into dark, crowded corners, its claustrophobic atmosphere, and powerful performances build enough tension to keep viewers hooked.”

Created by Tony Basgallop (Inside Men, What Remains, 24: Live Another Day) it follows a Philadelphia couple in mourning after an unspeakable tragedy creates a rift in their marriage and opens the door for a mysterious force to enter their home.

Shyamalan serves as executive producer and directs. It stars Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under), Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Nell Tiger Free (Too Old To Die Young), and Rupert Grint (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows).

Shyamalan and Basgallop executive produce with Ashwin Rajan, Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black, and Steve Tisch. Taylor Latham and Patrick Markey serve as co-executive producers.

Watch Servant on the Apple TV app – which you can download HERE – beginning on November 28, 2019.
