Kathy Bates Praises CASTLE ROCK’s Lizzy Caplan as THE Annie Wilkes

Lizzy Caplan is killing it as Annie Wilkes in the second season of Hulu and J.J. Abrams’s Stephen King series Castle Rock.
And today original Misery star Kathy Bates took to Twitter to praise Caplan’s take on King’s nurse from Hell.
“Lizzy Caplan hits it out of the park,” she tweets. “She IS Annie Wilkes. Terrifying and human. Sometimes she makes me feel all oogie!” Check out her tweet below.
On top of Caplan as Wilkes, Castle Rock 2 features Paul Sparks as John “Ace” Merrill, Elsie Fisher as Joy Wilkes, Barkhad Abdi as Abdi Omar, Yusra Warsama as Dr. Nadia Omar, Matthew Alan as Chris Merrill, and Tim Robbins as Reginald “Pop” Merrill.
Sam Shaw & Dustin Thomason serve as showrunners and executive producers along with King, Abrams, Ben Stephenson, Vince Calandra, and Liz Glotzer. The show hails from Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Castle Rock is now streaming on Hulu.
Meanwhile, Bates starred as Wilkes in director Rob Reiner’s adaptation of King’s original novel, Misery. That film co-starred James Caan as Paul Sheldon, Richard Farnsworth as Buster, Frances Sternhagen as Virginia, Lauren Bacall as Marcia Sindell, and Graham Jarvis as Libby. Columbia Pictures released it back on November 30, 1990.
