From the Press Release
Michael Biehn, known for starring in such classics as THE TERMINATOR, ALIENS, and THE ABYSS, has been announced as a very special guest at this year’s International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival. Biehn will be on hand to promote THE VICTIM, his newest film, which he wrote, directed, and starred in. Jennifer Blanc, another star of the film, will also be in attendance.

In THE VICTIM a young woman’s life is put in jeopardy when she is witness to a violent act at the hands of two Sheriff’s Deputies. Fleeing from her attackers, she stumbles across a recluse living in the middle of the woods. The ruggedly handsome loner stays far from civilization – that is, until a single knock on his door throws his solitary life into chaos.

Biehn’s VICTIM headlines a phenomenal list of Horror and Sci-Fi showcase films that have this year’s festival among the most anticipated ever. “This year is gearing up to be the most exciting yet,” said Andrea Beesley-Brown, the International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival Curator and Phoenix’s own Midnite Movie Mamacita. “Our Competition Features & Shorts have reached new levels of excellence, and there will be a full palette of Showcase Features, all of which will be Arizona premieres. We are thrilled to be able to bring these films to the big screen for our Festival audience, and with a great lineup of special guests, 2012 is going to be a year to remember.”

Other showcase films at this year’s International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival include:

FDR: American Badass – In this throwback to the original 1966 Batman movie, FDR rides a “wheelchair of death” to stop the world from werewolves who carry the polio virus, including werewolf versions of Hitler, Mussolini, and Emperor Hirohito. Barry Bostwick (“Spin City”) stars as FDR.

Monster Brawl – Eight classic monsters fight to the death in an explosive wrestling tournament set inside an abandoned and cursed graveyard. Starring Dave Foley and the voice of Lance Henriksen.

Beyond the Black Rainbow – A Reagan-era fever dream inspired by hazy childhood memories of midnight movies and Saturday morning cartoons, RAINBOW is the outlandish feature film debut of writer and director Panos Cosmatos.

With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story – This career spanning retrospective explores the life of Stan Lee from his early days, his fascinating journey from Timely Comics to the dawn of Marvel Comics to his current company POW! Entertainment.
