Born on this day in 1981: Andrea Riseborough
British actress Riseborough isn’t a huge genre name – yet. With over ten years of projects on her resume, her genre credits are few and far between. She was appeared as Annie, a ghost, in the original British series Being Human before the role was recast. She also appeared in an episode of Black Mirror, entitled “Crocodile,” and appeared in the Wacominiseries, as one of the doomed cult members who followed David Koresh.
In features, Riseborough appeared in Tom Ford’s thriller Nocturnal Animals; and the Nicolas Cage horror insanity Mandy. But coming up, she will star in the reboot of The Grudge, directed by Nicolas Pesce, and Possessor, the new sci-fi/thriller from Brandon Cronenberg (son of David Cronenberg).
