We won’t see the finale of the Jurassic World trilogy until June 2021, but director Colin Trevorrow just announced something that may hold us over nicely. A Jurrasic World short film, Battle at Big Rock, will premiere on FX this Sunday (September 15th). Trevorrow dropped the news on Twitter, along with a poster. Have a look-see:
The short takes place one year after the events of the last film in Big Rock National Park, where dinosaurs are now living in our world. The story follows a family of four whose encounter with these wild animals becomes a terrifying fight for survival.
Battle at Big Rock stars André Holland, Natalie Martinez, Melody Hurd, and Pierson Salvador; Trevorrow co-wrote the screenplay with Emily Carmichael (Pacific Rim: Uprising).
Check local listings for an exact air-time. We’ll bring you additional Jurassic World news as details emerge, so stay tuned!
