Platinum Dunes just won’t stop. The remake kings aren’t slowing down, which is a good thing if you were looking forward to the MIA remake of Near Dark
Bloody Disgusting laid down the official word that Smashing Pumpkins music video director Samuel Bayer has been brought on board to direct the Platinum Dunes remake of Near Dark. What is it with music video directors getting work directing full length motion pictures? Bayer may be talented, but I’ve burned many a times in the past by this situation.
Well, if the only good part of The Hitcher was the NIN chase scene, then perhaps Sam will be able to stretch out that kind of mild entertainment into a hour and a half. Maybe.
