SON OF MONSTERPALOOZA Returns to Los Angeles September 13-15

The Halloween season returns to SoCal for 2019, and kicking it off with a bang is Eliot Brodsky’s Son of Monsterpalooza horror convention, running September 13th thru 15th at The Marriot Burbank Hotel & Convention Center (2500 N. Hollywood Way) in Burbank, California. But what can fright fans expect of the 2019 installment of this veritable and beloved institution? A whole lot as it turns out, including a rare stateside appearance by Italian master of horror Dario Argento himself. Read on!
“The work of Argento has always impressed me,” Monstepalooza founder Brodsky told us of his excitement over the Suspiria filmmaker’s appearance and canon. “His visual sensibilities and choice of colors along with his use of music immediately pull you into what at times feels like an artistic nightmare.”
Celebrities joining Argento for his signing appearance at Son of Monsterpalooza include Robert Patrick, Edward Furlong and Danny Cooksey of Terminator 2 fame, FX luminaries and filmmakers Rick Baker and Greg Nicotero, and genre actors Linda Blair (The Exorcist), Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Nick Stahl (Disturbing Behavior), Devon Sawa (Final Destination) and Bill Moseley and Richard Break (3 From Hell), as well as film legend Barbara Steele (just to name a few). Add to that over one hundred and fifty vendors, vendors, presentations, special exhibits, makeup demonstrations, a costume contest and more, Son of Monsterpalooza is a must for genre fans.
