Johannes Roberts Promises New RESIDENT EVIL Reboot Will Be “Super, Super Scary”!

For anyone wondering what Johannes Roberts is doing next now that 47 Meters Down: Uncaged has been released, IMDB says he’s getting to work on a new Resident Evil reboot. Our friends at Screen Rant confirmed Roberts’ new gig and grilled him on what fans can expect:

“We are in active development of that at the moment. I pitched them a take, and they really loved it. So, we are just gearing up on that as we speak, really. I’m in the office all the time there. So, yeah, it’s great. It’s gonna be super scary. It’s super, super scary. And it’s just getting back to the roots of the game. I think, at the moment, I’m not really allowed to say much more than that. But it’s gonna be a lot of fun.”

In the meantime, check out the synopsis and trailer for 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, now playing in theaters nationwide.

The film will tell the story of fourteens diving in a ruined underwater city, who quickly find themselves in a watery hell as their adventure turns to horror when they learn they are not alone in the submerged caves. As they swim deeper into the claustrophobic labyrinth of caves they enter the territory of the deadliest shark species in the ocean.
