Trailer: BLOOD & FLESH: THE REEL LIFE & GHASTLY DEATH OF AL ADAMSON Will Have Its UK Premiere at FrightFest

A horror movie director whose life became a real-life horror movie? Now that’s a true-crime documentary genre fans will want to see. And if you’re attending London FrightFest later this month, you’ll be able to catch the UK premiere of Blood & Flesh: The Reel Life & Ghastly Death of Al Adamson! Give the trailer a spin at the top of the article.

From Severin, the film already screened to rave reviews at Fantasia and will also play at Sitges come October. Producer Heather Buckley spent three and a half years on Blood & Flesh and even hired a private detective and get an interview with Adamson’s incarcerated killer!

Synopsis:
Much more than a look at the bold life and tragic demise of a maverick indie filmmaker, Blood & Flesh: The Reel Life & Ghastly Death of Al Adamson is the story of a resourceful band of outsiders, creatives and hustlers during a period of American cinema unimaginable today.

From his early years as the son of a silent screen cowboy, through the production of some thirty lurid, low budget exploitation pictures including SATAN’S SADISTS, DRACULA VS. FRANKENSTEIN, BRAIN OF BLOOD and THE NAUGHTY STEWARDESSES, to his bizarre and grim demise, the story of filmmaker Al Adamson is told through first-person recollection from colleagues, friends, family and archival material of Adamson himself. Go-Go dancers, aging Hollywood actors on their way out, bikers, porn stars, Charles Manson, and an alien being all cross Al’s path before he himself becomes the doomed centerpiece of a true crime story and manhunt.

Blood & Flesh: The Reel Life & Ghastly Death of Al Adamson is directed by David Gregory.
