Our pals over at Broke Horror Fan and Witter Entertainment have been doing such a killer job with bringing our DREAD titles onto VHS that we couldn’t resist working with them again! This time, they’re bringing analog fans Adam Rifkin’s meta black comedy Directors Cut, which was written by and stars magician Penn Jillette!
The VHS tape has been cropped to 4:3 full-frame and will include a letter from Rifkin, an introduction from Jillette, and the crowdfunding pitch after the film.
“In this ultimate “meta movie,” Herbert Blount (Penn Jillette) is a crowdfunding contributor for the new Adam Rifkin feature KNOCKED OFF. Unhappy with the film, he steals the footage and kidnaps actress Missi Pyle to star in his own ‘director’s cut!‘”
Written by Jillette and directed by Adam Rifkin, Director’s Cut stars Penn Jillette, Missi Pyle, Harry Hamlin, Hayes MacArthur, and Lin Shaye.
Directors Cut VHS goes on sale this Friday at August 2, 12 pm EST.
