The response to Orion’s Child’s Play reboot was mixed–but that’s true of most horror movies these days. Personally, I think the film was a success, even if there was little homage to the original (besides the doll’s name and look). And speaking of Chucky…

The folks at Stan Winston School recently released an 8-minute, behind the scenes look at what it took to bring the new Chucky to life! Give it a spin at the top of the article.

If you missed Child’s Play when it was in theaters, the DVD/Blu-ray should be arriving this October in time for Halloween! Give the synopsis and trailer a look-see below!

Synopsis:
A mother gives her son a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of it’s more sinister nature.

Child’s Play is directed by Lars Klevberg from a screenplay penned by Tyler Burton Smith; in addition to Hamill the film stars, Aubrey Plaza, Tim Matheson, and Brian Tyree Henry. It’s a complete reboot (computer pun apropos) of 1988’s Child’s Play, directed by Tom Holland and written by Don Mancini.
