Trailers. One-sheets. Pictures. Thus far we’ve seen a plethora of goodies in promotion of The Woman in Black. Now the parade of clips officially begins. Hopefully they won’t release too many. This is one flick we don’t wanna feel like we’ve seen already once it hits theatres.

Joining star Daniel Radcliffe are Ciaran Hinds, Janet McTeer, Liz White, Alisa Khazanova, Tim McMullan, Roger Allam, Daniel Cerqueira, Shaun Dooley, Mary Stockley, Cathy Sara, David Burke, Victor McGuire, and Lucy May Barker. James Watkins (Eden Lake) is at the directorial helm with a screenplay by Jane Goldman.

The Woman in Black follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps (Radcliffe), who is ordered to travel to a remote corner of the UK and sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. As he works alone in an old and isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover its tragic secrets, and his unease grows when he discovers that the local village is held hostage by the ghost of a scorned woman set on vengeance.

Look for The Woman in Black in US theatres on February 3rd, 2012. The UK will be getting it on February 10th, 2012.

Comet TV to Bring Kaiju Double-Feature Goodness Throughout the Summer

Published

on

Having been without cable or basic TV channels for nearly 25 years (note: I got cable service solely for Twin Peaks: The Return and haven’t turned on my cable box since), the world of television slips me by with great regularity. I hear about good shows from friends on occasion and that’s about it when it comes to my interaction with that world. But over the past few months, I’ve been made aware of Comet TV, a channel devoted to sci-fi, monster features, horror, and basically wonderful genre fare. It’s almost enough to get me to reach for my XFINITY remote. Almost…

This summer, Comet TV is planning on keeping it hot with a gargantuan dose of fire breath by featuring kaiju double-features every week. Beginning this Sunday and running through early September, the channel will air a film from the Godzilla franchise followed by a non-Godzilla giant monster flick. If you’re craving destruction, destruction, and more destruction, sounds like this is gonna be right up your alley!

Exclusive: How’d You Lose a Body, FERAL?

Published

on

Coming this Friday to select theaters and VOD platforms is IFC Midnight’s zombie horror film Feral, which follows a group of friends in the woods who, one by one, begin turning into zombies after a disease rampages through their ranks. We’ve got our hands on a clip from the film, which features Scout Taylor-Compton and Lew Temple looking over the site of a grisly mess of viscera wondering what happened and where the body could have gone.

Your best friend has just been infected with a horrifying virus that will soon turn her into a rabid, rampaging cannibal-zombie. Do you: a) try to save her? or b) kill her before she kills you? That’s the nightmarish scenario six students find themselves facing when their celebratory camping trip goes terrifyingly wrong. One by one, each falls victim to the “feral” disease, until only Alice and Jules — two girlfriends testing the waters of their new relationship — are left standing, armed with a shotgun and holed up in a remote cabin. They’ve got a hell of a fight before them if they hope to survive…

Written by Adam Frazier and directed by Mark H. Young, Feral stars Scout Taylor-Compton, Olivia Luccardi, Lew Temple, Renee Olstead, Brock Kelly, Landry Allbright, and George Finn.
