Okay, who didn’t see this one coming?
When the marketing team at Orion realized their Child’s Play remake was hitting US theaters the same day as Toy Story 4 (Friday, June 21st), they decided to have some fun with the juxtaposition by creating a series of subversive posters. Over the past couple weeks, we’ve seen Chucky stomp Woody, blast Buzz, burn Slinky Dog, and eviscerate Mr. Potatoe Head.
Today, Chucky roasts Rex! Check out the poster below, followed by the synopsis and trailer for Child’s Play.
A mother gives her son a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of it’s more sinister nature.
Child’s Play is directed by Lars Klevberg from a screenplay penned by Tyler Burton Smith; in addition to Hamill the film stars, Aubrey Plaza, Tim Matheson, and Brian Tyree Henry. It’s a complete reboot (computer pun apropos) of 1988’s Child’s Play, directed by Tom Holland and written by Don Mancini.
