Is HALLOWEEN II in the Works? Jamie Lee Curtis and Jason Blum are Up to Something…

Yesterday afternoon, Jason Blum set the Twitterverse ablaze by posting a picture of himself alongside Halloween 2018 star Jamie Lee Curtis; it included the tantalizing caption: “We’re discussing stuff”. Curtis is clutching a copy of the latest Laurie Strode action figure, making the assumption even more probable!

Last February, we reported that Scott Teems had been retained by Blumhouse to pen a sequel, even as Blum admitted they had yet to retain the rights. Whether a script has actually materialized is unknown at this time.

If you missed Halloween in 2018, the film is now available on DVD/Blu-ray, VOD, and it’s currently airing on HBO. Give the synopsis and trailer a spin below.

Synopsis:
It’s been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. Locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns to Haddonfield, Ill. — but this time, she’s ready for him.

Halloween 2018 is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay he wrote with Danny McBride. In addition to Curtis, the film starred Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, and Nick Castle.
