Exclusive: DEMIR DEMIRKAN Brings Turkish Alt-Metal With “This I Swear”

The world of rock and metal has always been about rebellion and revolution. It’s a genre that defies expectations, that challenges authority, and, much like horror, consistently offers greatness while being eschewed by mainstream audiences.
Today, we’re bringing the Dread Central audience some alt-metal with a Turkish twist with the exclusive music video premiere of Demir Demirkan‘s “This I Swear”, which you can watch above. The song comes from his upcoming album Elysium in Ashes, out June 14.
Demirkan explains, “‘This I Swear’ is a song about a man who had been on an altruistic path, giving all he’s got to make things work with life and people. In the end he feels that he’s been doing that to satisfy his own ego. He realizes that he had made many mistakes while trying to do good and as the saying goes he realizes that “the road to hell is paved by good intentions”. And then he meets this woman and she is the only one who takes a chance to love him. And, he is forever grateful. He swears that he will be true to her forever and devoted himself to her.”
