Horror fans these days are so hooked on nostalgia, they even enjoy turning modern media creations into piles of pixels, reminiscent of the earliest days of video gaming. Usually, this has a sanitizing effect on its subject–especially where horror properties are concerned. I mean, who was really afraid of 8-bit Jason Voorhees?
In an extended bumper from Adult Swim, however, the pixelation is used to perfection on a Rick and Morty romp certain to fracture your brain. Seriously, this doesn’t come with a warning that it might cause seizures–but maybe it should! Watch at your own risk at the top of the article!
Rick and Morty, the beloved Adult Swim cartoon series, will see its fourth season premiere this November. The show’s third season aired throughout 2017, so the new season comes over two years after the last one ended.
