DREAD Presents: Behold the Military Vehicles Used in REDCON-1

Our latest DREAD title is REDCON-1, a zombie action/horror that sees a military team take on zombie hordes the likes of which have never been seen before. Packed to the brim with action, violence, and kickass martial arts, REDCON-1 is a jolt of new blood for those who are tired of zombie fare.

During the making of the film, director Chee Keong Cheung was able to secure several military vehicles for use so as to make the world of REDCON-1 feel even more alive and authentic. Per the director, the film included an EC120-B ‘Colibri’ Eurocopter as well as the following vehicles:

A Scorpion Tank (CVRT: Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Tracked) followed by Humvee [High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle]

A Scorpion Tank followed by a Unimog military truck then a FV434.

Rob’s Scorpion Tank.

In the foreground is a Chieftain Main Battle Tank and in the background, there is an FV432 with a 30mm gun turret mounted on it.

A government experiment is unleashed, releasing a mutated genetic virus which amplifies and enhances human abilities. Amidst pandemic chaos, humanity is reborn as a stronger, faster, far more deadly creature; an evolutionary backlash that creates a new breed of killing machine.

As the military loses ground against the onslaught, preparations are made to launch a final strike against an infection they know they cannot contain or conquer; a cleansing of both infected and human alike.

REDCON-1 stars Oris Erhuero, Carlos Gallardo, Mark Strange, Katarina Leigh Waters, Martyn Ford, and Joshua Dickinson. It was produced by Carlos Gallardo (Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico), Stephen L’Heureux (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For), and Kevin Eastman, co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and publisher of Heavy Metal, as well as Ioanna Karavela and Mark Strange.
