Josh Stewart plays Arkin in The Collector (2009) and The Collection (2012) where he matches wits against a sadistic masked psychopath. Late yesterday, he dropped a poster on Twitter that reveals a third film in the Collector franchise is in the works! Brace yourselves for The Coll3ctor! See for yourself:
It doesn’t indicate much beyond the fact that it’ll be penned by the “twisted” writers of Saw IV, V, VI & VII; no indication regarding what stage of production the film’s in or a target release date. Still, it’s enough to get fans of these incredibly gory movies excited. We can feel the bloodlust!
Marcus Dunstan directed both The Collector and The Collection so we can only hope he’ll be returning to attempt catching lightning in a bottle for the third time. Whether things dovetail neatly into a trilogy or set the stage for the next potentially great horror franchise of the 21st Century remains to be seen!
