Don Mancini Hides Important CHILD’S PLAY TV Series Update in a Subtweet!

Entertainment journalists often look at the Twitter feeds and Instagram accounts for celebrities and filmmakers. But our jobs are going to get a lot harder if we have to sift through sub-Tweets for juicy information. I’m looking at you, Don Mancini!
The original Child’s Play scribe shared some Chucky fan art back on April 26th. Deep into the responses he received, one fan asks when we can expect another movie? A couple of other folks weigh in before Mancini replied:
“TV Series! 2020!”
The double exclamation points suggest both enthusiasm and certainty, so we’re all excited to see what comes down the pike. In the meantime, we have Orion’s Child’s Play reboot to look forward to. Check out the synopsis and trailer for that movie below.

Child’s Play is directed by Lars Klevberg from a screenplay penned by Tyler Burton Smith; the film stars Aubrey Plaza, Mark Hamill, and Gabriel Bateman. Look for it in US theaters beginning June 21st.
