NSFW Trailer: Get HIGH ON THE HOG with Sid Haig on 4/20

There’s a very specific subgenre of horror that’s all about the herb. I’m talking weed, pot, Mary Jane, jazz cabbage, wacky tobacco, dope, chronic; you know, the real sticky-icky. Many juxtapose terror with stoner humor, but few look as gritty, raw, and violent as High on the Hog, a new weed-centric horror movie premiering in Los Angeles on April 19th.
Synopsis:
A film with a pro-legalization message, “High on the Hog” is a grindhouse mystery thriller about a marijuana farmer and the lengths he will go to in order to protect his small town and his family. Sid Haig leads the cast as Big Daddy, the film’s protagonist marijuana farmer, alongside action icons Robert Z’Dar and Joe Estevez.
“This film is a really cool mix of sex, drugs, and rock and roll and I had a blast orchestrating the story on a visual level” director Tony Wash tells us.
“On top of that, it was important for me to translate the core elements of the script: Family, commitment and freedom – so audiences can see that this isn’t just another gritty grindhouse flick. It contains heart, story, and characters you grow to love.”

As previously mentioned, High on the Hog will be playing at the Arena Cinelounge located at 6464 Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood on Friday, April 19th (hey, it’s close enough to 4/20). Haig will be in attandance, so if you are in the area and able to attend, we highly suggest you do so.
