POLTERGEIST is Getting Another Remake, Russo Brothers to Helm

AGBO Films partners Joe and Anthony Russo, the filmmaking brothers who helmed Avengers: Endgame, have been appointed creative architects of a huge portion of MGM’s filmography. The have plans to remake a number of famous properties, including 1982’s Poltergeist, which has already been remade once in 2015. Deadline broke the news:

Said Joe Russo: “This deal reflects the fundamental tenets upon which AGBO was built: a storytelling driven studio designed to develop and produce a complex array of narrative in an ever-evolving landscape. Artist ownership is primary to our agenda, and we’ll be serving as partners on every film. It’s also an amazing opportunity for AGBO to work with MGM, which owns one of the greatest libraries in the world.”

We have no idea how long it will take a Poltergeist remake to materialize, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled in order to bring you additional news as details emerge. Stay tuned and check back often!
