Cillian Murphy Might Be the Male Lead in A QUIET PLACE 2

Actor Cillian Murphy has an impressive horror pedigree. He first hit most genre aficionados’ radars following his appearance in 28 Day Later; his filmography also includes Red Eye, Sunshine, Retreat, and Red Lights. Now, there’s a chance the Irish-born thespian will become part of this decade’s most ambitious breakout franchise: A Quiet Place.
Late last week, THR reported than Murphy is in talks to star in A Quiet Place 2 opposite Emily Blunt, who is reprising her role as Evelyn Abbott. The actors who played the Abbott family children in 2018’s A Quiet Place, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, are also returning for the sequel.
Other details about A Quiet Place 2 are scant at this time; all we know is that the production is slated to go before cameras this July. Still, we’ll keep our ears to the ground in order to bring you all A Quiet Place-related news as details emerge. Stay tuned!
