Exclusive THE SPECIAL Poster Hearkens Back to Classic Movie Adverts

Update: a second poster, called “The Wesler Print”, was sent to us today, so we’re updating the article with that image, seen to the right.

B Harrison Smith, the director behind Death House (known as “The Expendables of Horror”), is hard at work completing his latest film The Special and has supplied Dread Central with an exclusive first look at the film’s poster, which was designed by “Monster” Mark Kosobucki. You can see the advert to the right.

“All the effects are practical in this film,” B Harrison Smith tells us. “Roy Knyrim of SOTA FX did the transformations and Monster Mark did the puppeteer and special design. I can’t really say what yet, but the practical effects kick ass.”

The film was shot outside of Philadelphia this past January and February and an expected final cut will be ready by Memorial Day. As of now, the film is receiving sound design, musical compositions, and CGI touch ups.

When Jerry Harford discovers what he believes to be his wife having an affair, his best friend urges him to fight fire with fire, with horrific results. Harford begins a nightmarish trip down a surreal rabbit hole that gives Fatal Attraction a dark spin.

The Special stars horror alums Davy Raphaely (Camp Dread, Zombie Killers), Sarah French (Insectula, Death House), and David Sheridan (Scary Movie, Devil’s Rejects).
