Stars of US Discuss “Brutal” Horror of Jordan Peele’s 2nd Film

We’re mere days away from the nationwide release of Us, the sophomore feature film written and directed by Jordan Peele (who became a rising star in horror following the release of Get Out in 2017). Reviews out of SXSW, where the film enjoyed its world premiere last week, were fantastic, and the film currently holds a 100% Freshness Rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

As we continue our march towards March 22nd, producers of Us have released a new featurette; it contains interviews with the film’s stars (Lupita Nyong’o, Elisabeth Moss, Winston Duke, and others) heaping praise on Peele and the “brutal” horror coming our way.

Nyong’o states:

“This is an intense and all-consuming movie to be a part of. Jordan has this way of creating terrifying moments. It was very scary for me to play both the hero and the villain, and to pursue both of their objectives… Jordan is making his favorite movie all of the time, so that passion, that kind of enthusiasm, is infectious. I would work with him again, and again, and again.”

Give it a spin at the top of the article, followed by the synopsis and trailer for Us below.

Synopsis:
Accompanied by her husband, son and daughter, Adelaide Wilson returns to the beachfront home where she grew up as a child. Haunted by a traumatic experience from the past, Adelaide grows increasingly concerned that something bad is going to happen to her family. Her worst fears soon become a reality when four masked strangers descend upon the house, forcing the Wilsons into a fight for survival. When the masks come off, each stranger takes the appearance of a different family member.
