While the series may have been launched as a goof, the Leprechaun franchise can now boast a whopping eight installments. That just one fewer than the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, a more than the likes of genuine powerhouses like Alien, Predator, Final Destination, and even The Conjuring Universe!
With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner (this Sunday, March 17th) it seems like the perfect time for a retrospective of the entire Leprechaun franchise, and the folks at Crypt TV have us covered. In their latest installment of Fright Hype (hosted by Mike Hickey) they recap all of the Leprechaun films while putting each into a proper historical context. From being locked in a trunk to Vegas, “Tha Hood”, and outer space, Fright Hype hits each chapter in the long-running franchise that, in many ways, epitomizes 1990s-era horror.

Synopsis:
