Trailer and Release Date for Mail Order Wife Horror THE RUSSIAN BRIDE

While “mail order wives” are something of a modern phenomenon, there’s something both contemporary and gothic in the trailer for The Russian Bride. In addition to illustrating the commoditization of love and the literal possession of female bodies, the trailer at the top of the article has a definite Jane Eyer/Wuthering Heights vibe. We’ve got the sprawling mansion, the mysterious entity lurking in the shadows, and the claustrophobic isolation that defines gothic films and literature.

Look for The Russian Bride in select theaters and VOD platforms beginning March 19th via Vertical Entertainment. Give the trailer a spin at the top of the article, followed by the synopsis below.
