Celebrate International Women’s Day with a Teaser for DARLIN’ Screening Saturday at SXSW

For horror fans at SXSW, it’s all about the world premiere on Jordan Peele’s Us tonight and the premiere of Pet Sematary at the festival’s conclusion. In the meantime, there are more horror movies to experience than hours in a day; there’s so much horror to see you couldn’t do it all if you tried.

So, it’s important to plan accordingly. Tomorrow night (Saturday March 9th) will be the premiere of Darlin’. International Women’s Day (today) is the perfect time to drop a trailer for the film written, directed, and staring Pollyanna McIntosh, and that’s just what producers have done. And did I mention Darlin’ a sequel to Lucky McKee’s The Woman?

Give the teaser a spin at the top of the article and check out the synopsis below. If you can’t make it out to see Darlin’ tonight, we’ve also listed all screening times, so you can make sure you catch it at some point during your SXSW experience.

Synopsis:
Found at a Catholic hospital filthy and ferocious, feral teenager Darlin’ (Lauryn Canny) is whisked off to a care home run by The Bishop (Brian Batt of Mad Men) and his obedient nuns where she is to be tamed into a “good girl.” However, Darlin’ holds a secret darker than the “sins” she is threatened with, and she is not traveling alone. The Woman (Pollyanna McIntosh of The Walking Dead), equally fierce and feral, who raised her is ever present and is determined to come for her no matter who tries to step in her way.
