The first trailer for the Child’s Play remake has arrived! To be completely honest, if I put aside my love of Mancini’s franchise and the iconic character that was brought to life by Brad Dourif, I’m weirdly into this. It looks sleek, stylish, and vicious as hell. Yeah, there are some changes but that’s what sets this apart from what preceded it. If it were the same thing yet again, what would be the point? This is a fresh start with an updated story and I’m 100% here for it!

Directed by Lars Klevberg and written by Tyler Burton Smith, Child’s Play stars Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry, and Gabriel Bateman.
It comes to theaters on June 21.
