Prominent Mexican author/filmmaker Issa Lopez has reportedly signed on to helm a supernatural revenge/horror thriller steeped in cultural mythology. Genre fans might know Lopez best as the writer and director of the horror/fantasy movie Tigers Are Not Afraid. Legendary is, of course, the studio behind the upcoming Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
THR got the exclusive, reporting:
“Logline details for the untitled project are being kept south of the border, but the story is said to be rooted in Mexican cultural lore.”
