Stephen King has Seen PET SEMATARY, Issues Warning!
We’re still absorbing the terrifying glory that is the second trailer for Pet Sematary, arriving in theaters on April 5th. Released earlier this morning, it’s a lot to take in. Not only does it present several important plot motivators, it introduces some shocking departures from the source material. If you missed it this morning, check it out at the bottom of the article.
Stephen King has apparently seen the film already, and commented on it via Twitter this morning. Considering he lambasted Stanley Kubrick for taking major liberties with his novel The Shining in 1980, how does he feel about Pet Sematary directors Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer’s revisions?
I think he likes them!
“This is a scary movie. Be warned.”
Stay tuned for Part 1 of my set-visit report this afternoon.
Synopsis:
Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to
rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a
mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home. When
tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his neighbor Jud Crandall, setting off a
perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unspeakable evil with horrific
consequences.
Pet Sematary stars Jason Clarke, John Lithgow, and Amy Seimetz; Alyssa Brooke Levine plays Zelda.
